Invention Patent

Abstract:
The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding compositions of improved green strength and low-temperature impact strength based on a TPU copolymer mixture and containing, based on 100 parts by weight, A) from 20 to 90 parts by weight of at least one thermoplastic polyurethane, B) from 1 to 40 parts by weight of at least one rubber-elastic graft copolymer built up from B1) a graft base comprising a rubber-elastic polymer having a glass transition temperature of below -20 DEG C based on butadiene or C1-C10-acrylates, and optionally a crosslinking agent, and B2) a graft shell prepared by one-step or multistep copolymerisation of styrene, alpha -methylstyrene, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile and methyl methacrylate or mixtures of at least two of said monomers, C) from 5 to 75 parts by weight of at least one copolymer of C1) from 55 to 90% by weight of alpha -methylstyrene and C2) from 10 to 45% by weight of acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile or mixtures thereof, D) from 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of at least one copolymer of D1) from 60 to 99% by weight of styrene and D2) from 1 to 40% by weight of at least one olefinically unsaturated monomer containing at least one carboxyl, anhydride, tert-butyl ester, hydroxyl or amino group, and E) from 0 to 60 parts by weight of at least one reinforcing filler. The moulding compositions can be prepared by melting together the starting components and are preferably used for the production of injection mouldings.
