The present invention relates an intake valve actuating system, specially to reciprocating machines, the use of said system in compressors and a compressors starting method, which promote advantages on the compressors starting, minimize the power needed on said reciprocating machines. Specially, the present invention includes a controlled actuating mean 1 actuating an intake valve 13, by a coil 7, while a piston starts its reciprocating movement. The intake valve 13 can be displaced, at the expense of the reciprocating movement of the piston, a relief spring 10 is moved, and the overloading of the coil 7 is avoided. The present invention is situated on field of mechanical engineer, more precisely on the area of flow machines.
