PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image transmitter that can transmit an image of an original without the need for troublesome number entry and to obtain its control method and a storage medium. SOLUTION: A telephone number of a transmission destination is described in an area G1 of an original 1 and contents to be sent are described in an area G2, respectively. When the original 1 is set, an image in the area G1 is read, numerals are recognized from the image, stored once as a telephone number of the destination, displayed on a display section 4 to await confirmation of a user. When a correction button 8 is depressed, the correction operation is executed and when a transmission button 6 denoting permission of transmission is depressed, the number is registered on request and the image in the area G2 is read and the transmission processing of the image is conducted.
