Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an infrared-absorbing phthalocyanine, being the specific one, having extremely effective infrared-absorbing properties and useful as an infrared-absorbing agent for an infrared-absorbing ink, an printing ink, glasses, an agricultural sheet, a heat transfer printing, etc. SOLUTION: This infrared-absorbing phthalocyanine is the new one of formula I [A is a group of formula II (each of the rings B and C may be substituted by a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, nitro, hydroxysulfonyl, benzoyl or a benzene ring obtained by condensation cyclization at the ortho position; R is H or methyl), etc.; both Hs attaching to nitrogens may be replaced by copper, nickel, vanadyl, magnesium, AlCl, or zinc]. The infrared-absorbing phthalocyanine has an infrared absorption within a range of 720-1,100μm wavelength and is useful as an infrared-absorbing agent for an infrared absorbing ink, a printing ink, glasses, an agricultural sheet, a sheet-bonded plate glass, a heat transfer printing, etc. The compound is obtained by reacting compounds of formulas III and IV with a phthalocyanine substituted by a halogen.
