A conductor is in contact with one surface of the substrate, has a plurality of penetration holes through a flow direction of the exhaust gas, and includes a plurality of cells formed therein with an electrode layer. The particulate matter sensor detects a particulate matter included in the exhaust gas based on a variation of resistance or capacitance.
