A guide guides vertical movement of the arm along a length of the base member, a driver drives vertical arm movement, a sensor determines force acting on the carrying element, a position sensor determines a vertical position and speed of the arm, and a controller controls the driver and sets a support force based on the determined vertical speed position of the arm.
