The mobile terminal includes a user input unit that receives setting of at least one mode and at least one application executable n each mode, a display unit that outputs first screen information corresponding to a first application executable in a selected first mode, and a controller that controls the display unit such that the first screen information is converted into second screen information corresponding to a second application executable in the first mode, in response to a control command for an application conversion which is input in the first mode.
