Two parallel stanchions are disposed symmetrically of each independent jaw pair, with each jaw pair comprising a movable jaw situated above a stationary jaw. A slidable carriage encloses a spring for each independent jaw pair and is retained laterally between the pair of parallel stanchions and vertically between a top spring retaining plate and a bottom carriage plate.
