More particularly, it relates to monitoring radio link failure between a user equipment (UE), which is configured for an extended (i.e. long) discontinuous reception (DRX) time period, and a radio network. A method performed by the UE may comprise retrieving 510 configuration data. Upon detection 520 of connectivity problems towards a radio cell, a parameter configuration of the retrieved configuration data may be applied 530 for monitoring the radio link failure between the UE and the radio network.
