At least one cleaning rake with numerous cleaning prongs can be in a conveying direction along the screen via a drive. When the cleaning prongs pass the screen, they engage at least in sections between adjacent grate bars to remove the material to be sieved and held back by the screen, thereby conveying it towards a discharge. The cleaning prongs may be configured to be movable laterally back and forth with regard to the conveying direction and with regard to the screen.
