The shaft member comprises a first end portion for positioning at an interior location of a saddlebag lid and a second end portion distal from the first end portion for positioning at an exterior location of the saddlebag lid. The second end portion comprises a handle protrusion and at least one surface configured to engage a handle member such that rotation of the handle member about the axis causes rotation of the shaft member.
