The display unit combines the display output corresponding to each of four or more colors. The display unit includes a plurality of pixels each including three or more sub-pixels, the number of which is smaller than the number of colors. The pixel includes, as the sub-pixels, one first sub-pixel having largest display region among the sub-pixels and two or more second sub-pixels each having a display region smaller than that of the first sub-pixel. One of the second sub-pixels outputs a high luminance color having highest luminance among the four or more colors.
