According to one embodiment, a setting unit sets the range of movement of the correction unit to be larger as the object distance increases in a range where an object distance is larger than a first threshold and is equal to or smaller than a second threshold, and the setting unit fixes the range of movement of the correction unit to be a first range of movement where the object distance is equal to or smaller than the first threshold, and to be a second range of movement where the object distance is larger than the second threshold.
