When a brake ECU receives an EPB request during the operation of the automatic brake, and an elapsed period after a start of the automatic brake becomes more than a first set period t1, the brake ECU starts the EPB motors. Moreover, when the brake ECU receives an automatic brake request during the operation of the EPB, and an elapsed period after a start of the EPB is not more than a second set period t2, the brake ECU suspends the operation of the EPB, and starts the automatic brake.
