In the case in which a first operation and a second operation, which is performed within a predetermined period of time before the first operation, with a single pointing element are detected, and a coordinate of the first operation and a coordinate of the second operation are located within a predetermined range, the detection control section treats the coordinate of the first operation as the same coordinate as the coordinate of the second operation. Further, the detection control section changes the predetermined range in accordance with the detection position in the screen.
