The nanocapsule liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment includes a substrate; a pixel electrode and a common electrode on the substrate; a first polarization plate disposed under the substrate and including a first polarization layer; and a second polarization plate contacting at least one of the pixel electrode and the common electrode and including a second polarization layer and a nanocapsule liquid crystal layer between the second polarization layer and the substrate.
