In some embodiments, the display panel comprises: a plurality of first sub-pixels adjacent to a photo spacer; and a plurality of second sub-pixels separated from the major photo spacer; wherein an aperture area of each first sub-pixel is smaller than an aperture area of each second sub-pixel, while a light transmittance of each first sub-pixel is substantially equal to a light transmittance of each second sub-pixel.
