An embodiment includes generating dynamic attribute elements for MBO metadata in a manner that enables a mobile application to directly access and modify dynamic attributes included within the dynamic attribute elements. In an embodiment, dynamic attributes are included within the dynamic attribute elements arbitrarily to synchronization sessions of a server and a mobile application. The embodiment also allows the mobile application to set a value associated with a dynamic attribute. Another embodiment includes embedding a dynamic attributes entity in generated client code and downloading dynamic MBO attributes and associated metadata when the client synchronizes with the server.
