A battery cell for a battery of a motor vehicle having a galvanic element, a battery cell housing for accommodating the galvanic element, and at least two microelectronic circuits for monitoring the battery cell, wherein a first microelectronic circuit of the at least two microelectronic circuits is attached to a first carrier and a second microelectronic circuit of the at least two microelectronic circuits is attached to a second carrier, wherein the two carriers are arranged on top of one another and thus form a stack such that a top side of the first carrier is facing toward a bottom side of the second carrier.
