The seat assembly including a seating surface; and a cantilevered seat support including a mount portion and a cantilevered portion, the cantilevered seat support providing for coupling to a frame of the motorcycle such that a rear end of the seat support is spaced apart from the frame and exclusively coupled to the frame via the mount portion at the forward end of the seat assembly, the cantilevered portion including a first length extending from the mount portion to the rear end. The seating surface is supported by the cantilevered seat support such that greater than 50% of the length of the cantilevered portion is obscured from view when viewed in a lateral plan view.
