The main body of an automotive winch comprises a main frame, a main rotating shaft and a driving shaft; a transmission assembly engages the driving shaft and the main rotating shaft, the transmission assembly comprises a small gear and a large gear; a pair of ratchet is disposed on the driving shaft; a retaining pawl engaging on the pair of ratchets is disposed on the main frame; retaining pawl spring surrounds the retaining pawl, and the retaining pawl locks the pair of ratchets when driven by the retaining pawl spring. The automotive winch of the present invention is used in accompany with a manipulating handle, and by which the lashing operation of the winch will be more convenient and safe, time-saving and less effort-consuming and the operating efficiency will be greatly improved.
