An application module determines one or more device resources of a device that an application uses while executing on the device. A device module determines a performance state of each of one or more device resources of a device. An indicator module provides a visual indication of a potential execution level of an application on a display of a device. The potential execution level describes a projected level of functionality of an application as a function of a performance state of one or more device resources of the device.
