A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device may include a housing and a cover panel that may cover a display. The cover panel may define a pre-bent configuration prior to being coupled to the housing. Thereby, the cover panel may be elastically bent during attachment to the housing. Thus, the cover panel may include internal forces as a result of the elastic bending that prevent the cover panel from bowing outwardly from the housing.
