In each case a seal covers the edge of the layer sequence of a galvanic element in order to electrically insulate and seal same in a gas-tight manner, and the outer surface of the current collector associated with the anode and the outer surface of the current collector associated with the cathode remain at least partly free, so that the current collector, associated with the cathode, of a galvanic element electrically contacts the current collector, associated with the anode, of a galvanic element adjacently situated in the housing.
