The clamping spring has a contact limb, a spring bow, a clamping limb and an operating section. The clamping limb has a clamping edge. The clamping edge forms, with the busbar, a clamping point for clamping the electrical conductor between the clamping edge and the busbar. An operating element is movably mounted in the insulating-material housing and designed to apply force to the operating section. The operating element is mounted in the insulating-material housing in a linearly displaceable manner and extends from the operating section of the clamping spring beyond a plane which is spanned by the bearing surface of the contact limb on the bus bar or on the insulating-material housing.
