The information processing apparatus executes a process including managing configuration information required for installing an application in the electronic device, the configuration information including a list of applications to be installed, license information required for installing the application, and status information of the configuration information, managed in association with each other, the status information indicating a status before execution of the configuration information is reserved or a status in which execution of the configuration information is reserved; and storing the application. The electronic device executes a process including acquiring, from the information processing apparatus, the configuration information for which the status information is indicating the status in which execution of the configuration information is reserved; and installing, in the electronic device, the application acquired from the information processing apparatus according to the acquired configuration information.
