The electronic device includes a camera configured to obtain an image, an input buffer configured to store the image, an encoder implemented with hardware, and configured to encode an image output from the input buffer, at least one memory, and a processor configured to electrically connect with the camera, the input buffer, the encoder, and the at least one memory. The processor is configured to generate an encoding parameter based on a characteristic of the encoder receiving the encoding parameter and to provide the encoding parameter to the encoder.
