When distributing advertising information relating to a facility in the vicinity of the present location of the navigation device, at least a portion of the area of a travel area which has recently been traversed is excluded from an area for distribution of the advertising information; therefore, it becomes unnecessary to distribute the advertising information of the facility which is in a site to which it would be necessary to double back from the present location, and it is possible to improve the precision of the distribution area of the advertising information.
