The wearable device includes a wearable housing and a transceiver attached to the wearable housing and configured to receive a first data item. The first data item is contact information or an event identifier. The transceiver is further configured to transmit a second data item. The second data item is contact information. The transceiver has an effective range of less than one meter. The transceiver is able to receive the first data item and transmit the second data item in less than three seconds. The wearable device also includes a memory configured to store the first data item and the second data item.
