According to an example of the method, when at least two mergeable scanning sequences are obtained from a plurality of scanning sequences, a target scanning area including respective scanning areas of the at least two mergeable scanning sequences may be determined; and then a scanning on the target scanning area may be performed with the at least two mergeable scanning sequences. As at least two scanning sequences satisfying a preset mergeable condition may be extracted from a plurality of scanning sequences, the at least two scanning sequences satisfying the preset mergeable condition may be performed at once.
