The liquid jet head includes a receiving section adapted to receive print data, a discriminant section adapted to discriminate whether or not the print data received is non-defective, and a control section adapted to hold the print data in a case in which the print data is non-defective, or perform printing based on the print data held currently without holding the print data received in a case in which the print data received is defective.
