The travel pillow comprises a parabolic U-shaped cushion, with sides that minimize lateral head movement, a forward chin extension adds extra support for the chin and head, an extension on each of the rear end of the side panels that curve around the rear shoulders, and a means of fastening the open side panels together behind the neck to ensure that the pillow cannot fall forward, away from the user.
