The counter substrate includes a common electrode, a first lens layer that collects light incident to the counter substrate, a second lens layer that collects the light, and a first phase difference compensation layer that is arranged between the first lens layer and the second lens layer in a thickness direction perpendicular to the common electrode and compensates a phase difference of the light generated by the liquid crystal layer.
