The present application discloses a backlight comprising a surface light source and a beam splitting film provided on a light-exiting surface of the surface light source. A beam splitting structure is provided on a surface of the beam splitting film distal to the surface light source, and the surface of beam splitting film distal to the surface light source is divided into a plurality of beam splitting units. The beam splitting structure in each of the plurality of beam splitting units is capable of splitting light entering a surface of the beam splitting film proximal to the surface light source into at least three light beams each having a different emergent direction and a different wavelength.
