The method includes determining whether battery refresh proceeds and determining whether battery aging proceeds based on a time period in which the battery refresh proceeds, a battery state of charge, and a battery current during the battery refresh. Battery discharge is controlled based on determining that the battery aging proceeds. Charging is controlled according to a battery refresh map in order to restore the battery.
