The laundry machine includes a tub configured to receive wash water; a drum that is configured to rotate in the tub and to receive clothes; a control panel configured to receive input from a user; a course selection part located on the control panel and configured to enable user selection of an operating course from a plurality of operating courses; and one or more option selection parts located on the control panel and configured to enable user selection of one or more options for the operating course selected by the user. The operating method includes selecting a specific course and controlling sequential performance of the following operations: cleaning the clothes by supplying wash water to the drum; drying the clothes by supplying hot air to the drum; and refreshing the clothes by supplying steam to the drum.
