In accordance with another embodiment, a circuit suitable for use with a battery includes a power measurement circuit coupled to a discharge indicator circuit, a control circuit, and a load. The discharge indicator circuit is coupled to the control circuit, which is coupled to a switch configured for activating a discharge operation through the load.
