The method includes steps that: the application runs on a first terminal device; a first terminal receives a migration instruction, and acquires resource data of a first state of the application running on the first terminal device, where the first state is a state of the application from starting to receiving the migration instruction; the resource data is stored according to a predetermined storage address; a second terminal device is determined as a migration destination of the resource data, where the second terminal device is provided with the application; and the storage address of the resource data is sent to the second terminal device, so that the second terminal device acquires the resource data by visiting the storage address, and loads the resource data.
