The radial gasket is adapted to provide a seal against electromagnetic interference and environmental conditions, as well as radio-frequency isolation between the transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) channels of a handheld communication device in which the gasket is used, and includes first and second side members and first and second end members, each of which has an inner surface, outer surface and upper and lower face portions, operatively connected and cooperating with one another to form a body member; a plurality of ribs operatively connected to each of the outer surfaces and extending laterally outwardly therefrom; and a recess formed in and defined by each of the upper face portions.
