Abstract:
A computing device may include at least one processor configured to obtain a display frame, determine at least one modified region of the display frame, determine at least one application having an application window corresponding to the at least one modified region of the display frame, and determine a difference between the application window and the at least one modified region to define a difference region. The processor may be further configured to identify a content type of the difference region of the display frame from among a plurality of different content types, select a given encoding type for at least a portion of the display frame based on the identified content type of the difference region, and encode the at least one portion of the display frame using the given encoding type.
