An LED lamp includes: a lamp shell; a passive heat dissipating element having a heat sink, wherein the heat sink comprises fins and a base; a power source; a light emitting surface connected to the heat sink of the passive heat dissipating element and comprising LED chips; a first heat dissipating channel formed in a first chamber of the lamp shell; a second heat dissipating channel formed in the heat sink and between the fins and the base of the heat sink; and a lamp cover connected with the heat sink and having a light output surface and an end surface; wherein the base of the heat sink has a projecting portion protrudes from the light emitting surface in an axial direction of the LED lamp, the projecting portion protrudes from the light emitting surface in the axial direction of the LED lamp, the projecting portion is configured to be annular and a concave structure is defined by both the projecting portion and the base for receiving and protecting both the light emitting surface and the light cover, the base has a first inner surface and the lamp cover has a peripheral wall, the first inner surface corresponds to the peripheral wall, a gap is kept between the first inner surface and the peripheral wall, the first inner surface is configured to be a slant and an angle is formed between the first inner surface and the light emitting surface, the angle is an obtuse angle.
