More particularly, the display device, the display panel, the fingerprint-sensing method, and the circuit for sensing a fingerprint may receive a signal from a data line electrically connected to a pixel electrode through a switching transistor and may detect fingerprint information after a driving voltage is applied to the pixel electrode disposed in a pixel area, thereby detecting a fingerprint without including a separate fingerprint sensor outside a display panel.
