The method for allocating CORESET includes: configuring time position information of a CORESET, the time position information including: the number of symbols occupied by the CORESET, or the number of symbols occupied by the CORESET and a start position of the CORESET, the symbols including symbols in a numerology used by the CORESET; configuring position information of the CORESET in SFN; transmitting the time position information and the position information to the UE, so that the UE selects the start position of the CORESET based on the time position information and the position information, and a preset table of relation between the number of symbols occupied by the CORESET and the start position of the CORESET. The base station doesn't need to directly indicate the CORESET, which reduces overhead of signaling indicating CORESET.
