A purchase transaction request is received from a user of the set of users for a content item presented through the customized portal. Purchase transaction request is processed. Processing includes receiving an indication of payment amount; identifying celebrity users associated with the purchase transaction request; determining celebrity compensation amount for celebrity users associated with the purchase transaction request, each celebrity compensation amounts being determined at substantially the same time as the payment amount is received; and providing each celebrity compensation amounts to the celebrity users based on the purchase transaction request.
