A method for treating cancer can include administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula (Ia): or pharmaceutically acceptable salts or solvates thereof, wherein R1a, R1b, R1c, R1d, R2, and R3 are as defined, and A----B is selected from CH═CH, CH═CH(CH2)pCH2, or CH2—CH2(CH2)pCH2, and where p is 1 or 2.
