The bottom metal comprises a magazine well comprising a magazine well sidewall, and a front surface of a rear portion of the magazine well sidewall is aligned at or near a front surface of the trigger assembly. The rear portion of the magazine well sidewall can be disposed below the trigger assembly, and the front surface of the rear portion of the magazine well sidewall can be aligned with or behind the front surface of the trigger assembly.
