The apparatus retrieves health and performance data of one or more hypervisors of a VDI system from a data store. The apparatus further determines that a first hypervisor of the one or more hypervisors is in an alert condition based on the health and performance data. The apparatus determines the alert message based on the alert condition. The apparatus requests, in accordance with the alert condition, a social network service to send an alert message to an alert destination.
