The first substrate includes a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scanning lines. The color filter layer includes a plurality of color-blockers. The data lines and the scanning lines intersect to form a plurality of pixels arranged in an array. Each pixel includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel adjacent to each other. Each first sub-pixel includes a first pixel electrode, and each second sub-pixel includes a second pixel electrode. The first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel have an approximately same area. Each color-blocker corresponds to one of the pixels arranged in an array, and includes a first region and a second region, corresponding to the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel in a same pixel. The second region and the first region have a same color. The second region has a color-blocking region larger than a color-blocking region in the first region.
