A result pattern is received from the onboard speech recognition system for the voice input, and the result pattern, together with the comparison result, is stored in a pattern memory unit. In an offline mode, the recognition result of the onboard speech recognition system and the associated present result pattern are received for a further voice input, and a search for an agreeing, stored recognition situation is carried out based on the present result pattern.
