The method includes determining historical behavior of at least one user; determining a power profile of a device; determining at least one condition for establishing connection with the device; and using rules for selecting at least one of a plurality of approaches for establishing connection with the device; wherein the rules for selecting at least one of plurality of approaches comprises considering any one or more of: power profile of the device, historical behavioral data of the at least one user and at least one condition for establishing connection with the device; and selecting at least one of the plurality of approaches for establishing connection with the device in relation to a result of the considering.
